If that is you heart and desire, than a DTS is made for you. A DTS, a Discipleship Training School, is a 6 month program that will radically transform your life by deepining your relationship with Jesus on a deeper and more intimate level, so deep that you cannot stop to tell the people around you about HIM.
how does it look like?
The first three months are called the lecture phase in which we have lessons and learn about different topics and read the Bible and have personal time with God. It’s a safe place to get out of your comfort zone, to explore a bit and maybe learn some new skills you don’t even know you have. We want to offer you a place to discover new ways of worshipping God and communicating with Him. Additionally our DTS will have a specific topic.
The next 2 months we have the outreach where we go out and make God known and put into practice what we learned before. Possible Outreach locations will be:
Brasil
India
Germany
Take these 6 months to seek God deeply and discover the role of the justice in His kingdom. Join us, let’s rediscover the heart of God and bring it to the world.
General Informacion
01 | How does this DTS look like?
Your DTS is divided in three different parts:
From the the 28th of September 2023 until the end of January you will have the Lecture Phase in Moaña.
This is followed by the Outreach, wich will lasts two to three months and will take you to different parts of Europe and the world.
After this we will come back to Moaña for a debriefing-time and the your big Graduation on 22nd of March 2024.
02 | What is the Lecture Phase?
The first three months of your DTS will be the lecture phase. Three months full of opportunities to learn, relate and serve. Three months to immerse yourself more deeply in your relationship with Jesus and to discover your identity. During this time you will receive great teachings from teachers and missionaries from different parts of the world that will challenge you, make you curious and increase your knowledge about our Creator. The theoretical phase is not only about classes, you will also be able to: build relationships, get to know Galicia and have many other opportunities to grow.
03 | What are the Teachings about?
Possible topics could be:
- Listening to the voice of God
- Nature and Character of God
- God’s Fatherly Heart
- Jesus and his life
- The Holy Spirit
- Calling, Destiny and Identity in Christ
- Biblical Worldview
- Missions and Evangelism
- Culture
04 | What is about Mentoring and Relationship?
One of the most important parts of DTS is the relationship. On the one hand you will have individual discipleship (1-1), these times will allow you to process what you are learning about God in a safe environment. One-on-one is carried out with a DTS staff member, someone who is with you throughout the reading phase.
On the other hand you will live 5 months in community with all the other students, you will grow together and challenge each other, but you will also build very deep relationships. You will also have small groups with other DTS students. Here, your aim is to relax, have fun and enjoy yourself.
05 | What is the Outreach?
After the lecture phase there will be the outreach, where the objective is to put into practice what has been learned in the classes. Each outreach is unique and we must understand that it is not about us, it is about Him and how we are used for His work as His disciples. Your Outreach locations will maybe be Brasil, India or Germany. You will have many opportunities to serve in each place in different ways: evangelism, helping out in soup kitchens, putting your new skills and gifts into practice, serving in churches and much more.
