About

The first thing that God has done, which we read about in the Bible, is that he creates. It says, that in the beginning “God created ” and his creation became the most perfect work of art that exists. So it all started with a unique art of a God who loves to create who enjoys being generous in details.

LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

This DTS is an opportunity to know more and deeply the creative heart of God and also the creativity He has sown in us. The DTS is for all who have a desire to grow in faith and to know and experience God in a new and fresh way.

The first three months are called the lecture phase in which we have lessons and learn about different topics and read the Bible and have personal time with God . In addition to this – and this makes our DTS an Atelier – we will also have different workshops where we will explore more about photography, fine art and lettering . So whether you are an artist or not, you can join us. It’s a chance to get to know yourself better in a different way. It’s a safe place to get out of your comfort zone, to explore a bit and maybe learn some new skills you don’t even know you have. We want to offer you a place to discover new ways of worshipping God and communicating with Him.

The next 2 months we have the outreach where we go out and make God known and put into practice what we learned before.

Take these 5 months to seek God deeply and discover the role of the arts in His kingdom and how we can use this to bring the gospel to the world. Join us, let’s rediscover the heart of God and bring it to the world.



Lecture

The first three months of your DTS will be the lecture phase. Three months full of opportunities to learn, relate and serve. Three months to immerse yourself more deeply in your relationship with Jesus and to discover your identity. During this time you will receive great teachings from teachers and missionaries from different parts of the world that will challenge you, make you curious and increase your knowledge about our Creator. The theoretical phase is not only about classes, you will also be able to: build relationships, get to know Galicia and have many other opportunities to grow.

During this time we will cover at least three different arts in different courses. We will learn these and learn how to use them to serve God and the people around us.



Relationships

One of the most important parts of DTS is the relationship. On the one hand you will have individual discipleship (1-1), these times will allow you to process what you are learning about God in a safe environment. One-on-one is carried out with a DTS staff member, someone who is with you throughout the reading phase.

On the other hand you will live 5 months in community with all the other students, you will grow together and challenge each other, but you will also build very deep relationships. You will also have small groups with other DTS students. Here, your aim is to relax, have fun and enjoy yourself.



Outreach

The next two months will be the outreach, where the objective is to put into practice what has been learned in the classes. Each outreach is unique and we must understand that it is not about us, it is about Him and how we are used for His work as His disciples. So far we have gone to the Camino de Santiago, India, Portugal, Galicia and virtually connected with Germany. You will have many opportunities to serve in each place in different ways: evangelism, helping out in soup kitchens, putting your new skills and gifts into practice, serving in churches and much more.


